Prevention Coordinator

Under the direction of the Community Services Director, the Prevention Coordinator is responsible for community education, professional training, coordination of state mandated 40 hour training for staff and volunteers, Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Teen Dating Violence Prevention week activities; and regular volunteer in-service meetings. In addition, the Prevention Services Coordinator is responsible for implementation Prevention and Early Intervention Project with Ontario Montclair School District.

B.A. in social services, public health or related fields, and/or relevant experience and skills. Awareness of women’s and children’s issues and the dynamics of domestic violence. Strong research, critical thinking and organizational skills required. Project management and coordination experience. Public relations and marketing skills are an asset. Demonstrated ability to work alone or as part of a collaborative and with both professionals and grass roots community partners.

Part-time Bilingual Case Manager

Under the direction of the Community Services Director, and within the scope of the agency’s goals and objectives, the Bilingual Case Manager will provide intake, assessment, service plans, and referrals for all SB County CalWORKs clients. In addition, the Case Manager Temporary Restraining Orders and other legal advocacy services.

Bachelor’s Degree and/or 4 years equivalent relevant experience in a social service setting. Awareness of women’s and children’s issues and the dynamics of domestic violence. Ability to relate in a non-judgmental manner to women and children in crisis. Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Good leadership skills, excellent written, verbal communication, and organizational skills, and computer literacy. Experience with persuasive public speaking, and an ability to communicate information professionally and in an effective manner to any size group.
