Each year, over 300 women and children stay in at House of Ruth’s Emergency Shelter.
Sue Aebischer, Executive Director: Ms. Aebischer is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the agency. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare and has 33 years of experience in domestic violence programs, including management, program development, and direct services to battered women. Ms. Aebischer served for 15 years as the Program Director for House of Ruth and was appointed Executive Director in May 2005.
Michele Broadnax, Director of Development: With more than 20 years of nonprofit management and consulting experience, Ms. Broadnax has worked on and raised funds for a variety of issue areas in her career which focus on the well being of women and children. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Azusa Pacific University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Claremont Graduate University. Ms. Broadnax is responsible for coordinating fundraising and public relations activities for House of Ruth.
Sharon McGrath Gold, Chief Financial Officer: Ms. McGrath Gold manages the financial resources, human resources, information technology and systems, facilities and compliance requirements for the agency. She has extensive experience with contract management, information systems and general accounting, and holds Bachelor of Arts from UCLA and Master of Business Administration degree from Claremont Graduate University. Ms. McGrath Gold has been Finance Director/Chief Financial Officer for House of Ruth for eight years; and previously she served as a member of the Board of Directors and Board President.
