ABOUT US
House of Ruth serves victims of domestic violence and their families in East Los Angeles County and Western San Bernardino County. We work to advance the safety and well-being of individuals and families victimized by domestic violence.
Our organization serves 5,000 individuals each year through our crisis hotline, residential shelter, and community/counseling services program. We also reach more than 10,000 people through our education and prevention program. Our outreach staff travels to schools, college campuses, workplaces and beyond to improve public awareness and knowledge of domestic violence.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
We value applicants who are passionate, curious, and trustworthy. Because of our mission, we also seek those who are committed to ending domestic violence in our community and homes. It helps to have volunteered or worked on these issues before; however, if you have a skill set we need and are new to this field, we hope you still apply. All newly hired staff are required to go through 40 hours of domestic violence training and we can prepare you to be a powerful advocate in your role if you are hired.
Are you driven to end violence in our homes and society? Do you want to help women, men, and children move toward safety and stability in their lives? If so, consider applying to a position with House of Ruth. You can learn more about open employment opportunities by reading below.
